After a defensive mix-up in Lake Providence's zone, Vincent Dobbs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antony Cunningham came out of the goal and Vincent Dobbs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 33 played minutes Lake Providence got a freekick which was hit by Garth Johns. An unexpected shot in the 35th minute by Kirby Purcell got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Vincent Dobbs came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Crucifyxae fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vincent Dobbs couldn't finish the play. Ralph Hammons fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kyle Manuel having to interfere. Lake Providence's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Kirby Purcell 43 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kirby Purcell stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edward Villarreal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Kyle Manuel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Edward Villarreal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kyle Manuel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ralph Hammons in the 61st minute of play. Crucifyxae's Kirby Purcell got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kyle Manuel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ralph Hammons in the 64th minute of the match. After 70 played minutes Ralph Hammons rounded Crucifyxae's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Antony Cunningham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vincent Dobbs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute of the game, Federico McLeod landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 74 minutes, Jeff McGrath mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lake Providence and the Crucifyxae players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 76 minutes of play, Crucifyxae's Vincent Dobbs made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Antony Cunningham was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice moves Edward Villarreal could shoot a difficult shot in the 81st minute, which Kyle Manuel however easily saved by the left post. Vincent Dobbs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ralph Hammons fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kyle Manuel having to interfere. Crucifyxae's Kyle Manuel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ralph Hammons in the 88th minute of play. If Ralph Hammons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the game, Ralph Foley was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Crucifyxae's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lake Providence the free kick. Ralph Foley kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ralph Hammons in the 96th minute of play forced Crucifyxae's goalkeeper Kyle Manuel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lake Providence's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
