RED Mountain Resort's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Archie Vance scored to the left of an out of position Robbie Aquino, making the score, 2-0. 38 minutes into the game, Brad Dubose was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Long Beach Sharks FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RED Mountain Resort the free kick. RED Mountain Resort's Robbie Aquino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save RED Mountain Resort from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alejandro Melvin during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 46 minutes into the game, one of RED Mountain Resort:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Robbie Aquino had in the 48thth minute some difficulties stopping Luke Caldwell's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Long Beach Sharks FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 52nd minute, when Pete MacDonald scored to the left of an out of position Mel Payne, making the score, 2-1. Noel Sharp succeeded in the game's 98th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Long Beach Sharks FC fully deserved thier win.
