An unexpectedly hard shot by Hank Cavazos in the 4th minute of play forced Argentine FC's goalkeeper Chase Rios to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 4 minutes into the game, one of Long Beach Sharks FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 9th minute, Long Beach Sharks FC's Hank Cavazos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After 14 minutes of play, Argentine FC's Sterling Womack made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mel Payne was left in no man's land by his defense there! Murray Hoffman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sterling Womack to strike the kick off in the second half. Caleb Lowry's late challenge caught a Argentine FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Caleb Lowry helped the player get up and apologised. After 55 played minutes Long Beach Sharks FC got a freekick which was hit by Caleb Lowry. Hank Cavazos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chase Rios having to interfere. Sterling Womack fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mel Payne having to interfere. Caleb Lowry was shown his second yellow card after 63 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Long Beach Sharks FC's Caleb Lowry got a free kick in the 64th minute. Sterling Womack fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mel Payne having to interfere. If Archie Vance had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Murray Hoffman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Mel Payne made a huge save. Ricardo Springer kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Archie Vance managed to get in a good position for a shot. Long Beach Sharks FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Archie Vance was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chase Rios breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mel Payne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sterling Womack in the 80th minute of the match. Archie Vance sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute, Sterling Womack got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chase Rios showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Archie Vance, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Argentine FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
