Francis Kenney charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francis Kenney the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 3rd match minute, FC Motagua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francis Kenney to maneuver through the defense. Dan Pratt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th of the match, Dan Pratt tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Sanford Benjamin got in the way and made a wonderful save. After a rather tough play, FC Sajoka's Roderick Pryor got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 23rd match minute, FC Sajoka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brice Webster to maneuver through the defense. Noel Denne struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Noah Quinones didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Motagua. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfred Courtney in the 35th minute of play forced FC Sajoka's goalkeeper Noah Quinones to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Noah Quinones made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Denne in the 38th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Leland Cordero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Noah Quinones. FC Sajoka's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leland Cordero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Dan Pratt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sanford Benjamin having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Noel Denne made the kick off in the second half. If Noel Denne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sanford Benjamin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brice Webster, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 62nd minute, Brice Webster got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Noel Denne's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Noah Quinones was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. In the 70th minute, Rodolfo Iverson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to FC Sajoka getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Roderick Pryor hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute of the match Ismael Rollins shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Noah Quinones showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Sajoka's Rolland Frazier got a free kick in the 79th minute. After a rather tough play, FC Sajoka's Juan Pool got a free kick in the 81st minute. Noah Quinones made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Wilfred Courtney sent off a good shot on target. In the 90th minute, Noel Denne got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 92 minutes into the match, FC Sajoka's goal looked a bit too open when Noel Denne came free, but Noah Quinones reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The FC Motagua supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Motagua would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
