Wilfredo Nash showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neal Jacobs, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers J.P. Watkins in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilfredo Nash saved Orland AFC from getting behind. Wilfredo Nash made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joseph Cao Xiao in the 8th minute of play. After some careless play in the Orland AFC defense, Joseph Cao Xiao kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilfredo Nash. The Orland AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilfredo Nash should have stopped the shot. Wilfredo Nash made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timmy Travis in the 20th minute of play. Smithtown's J.P. Watkins got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Orland AFC's Thomas Ayers in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Orland AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Smithtown were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for J.P. Watkins to strike the kick off in the second half. Oswaldo Sutton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Rodriquez in the 53rd minute of play. Joseph Cao Xiao received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Wilfredo Nash tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Orland AFC defense, Neal Jacobs kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilfredo Nash. In the 66th minute, Smithtown's Neal Jacobs ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Wilfredo Nash. Wilfredo Nash yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Wilfredo Nash made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Joseph Cao Xiao sent off a good shot on target. Wilfredo Nash stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of J.P. Watkins's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. J.P. Watkins was extremely unlucky when he, in the 77th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Timmy Travis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Wilfredo Nash tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Chuck Ward fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Orland AFC's protests and gave Chuck Ward a yellow card for diving instead. Chuck Ward kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. 83 minutes into the game, Reed Rhodes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Smithtown's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Orland AFC the free kick. In the 83rd match minute, Smithtown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reed Rhodes to maneuver through the defense. Joseph Cao Xiao struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Wilfredo Nash didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Smithtown. When Neal Jacobs came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Smithtown fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Neal Jacobs couldn't finish the play. Smithtown's Al Schmitt was responsible for 0-7 with a brilliant performance in the 95th minute when he, by himself, got past the opponents defense and with a quick shot sent the ball into the goal to the left of Wilfredo Nash. Smithtown played a much better game than Orland AFC and deserved their victory. The Orland AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
