Grady Kelly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bronson Feldman, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After 13 minutes, Clay Reese mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Detroit Lakes and the Woodland Hills FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Giovanni Gaines was the one to do the kick off. Abraham Pendleton might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jesse German. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abraham Pendleton ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 92nd minute, Ernest Trevino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Woodland Hills FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Woodland Hills FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
