With an all-out effort, Chalco's Wilford Cegielski threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ari Brandon, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Wilford Cegielski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ari Brandon in the 38th minute of the match. After having played for 41 minutes, Armando Haas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rohnert's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Haas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Rohnert booed when Chalco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cliff Robertson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ari Brandon to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Jesus Walker mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rohnert and the Chalco players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Rohnert getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Jesus Walker hit a great ball. Ari Brandon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 68 minutes of play Rohnert's Jesus Walker was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Wilford Cegielski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chalco. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rohnert's goalkeeper Wilford Cegielski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ari Brandon in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilford Cegielski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 77th match minute, Chalco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domenico Murray to maneuver through the defense. Wilford Cegielski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cliff Robertson, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Ari Brandon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Wilford Cegielski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ari Brandon's late challenge caught a Rohnert's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ari Brandon helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Rohnert booed when Chalco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ari Brandon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erik Munoz tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Wilford Cegielski. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-2 in the 95th minute.
