Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Keene in the 4th minute of play forced Irmo's goalkeeper Noel Grant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The throw-in from Dwight Dillard in the 5th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Monessen's Trent McKinley. After 9 played minutes Monessen got a freekick which was hit by Preston Myers. Tyrone Darling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ace Dougherty in the 11th minute of play. Noel Grant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claude Gordon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Samuel Love recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Noel Grant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claude Gordon in the 24th minute of the match. Tyrone Darling showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ace Dougherty, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Noel Grant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marty Cegielski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the game, Ace Dougherty cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Tyrone Darling was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 34th minute, Jerrod Crozier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Irmo's Brendan Payne got a free kick in the 36th minute. Preston Myers kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Stefan Keene fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noel Grant having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Monessen's Octavio Hightower got a free kick in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
In the 52nd minute Ace Dougherty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tyrone Darling saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marty Cegielski got free with Noel Grant in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Preston Myers's late challenge caught a Irmo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Preston Myers helped the player get up and apologised. After 83 played minutes Monessen got a freekick which was hit by Preston Myers. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ace Dougherty in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tyrone Darling saved Monessen from getting behind. After 94 played minutes Monessen got a freekick which was hit by Preston Myers.
