After 3 played minutes Detroit AFC got a freekick which was hit by Kurt Banning. 5 minutes into the match, Gabriel Jacobsen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonas Siegel. Detroit AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gabriel Jacobsen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Detroit AFC's goalkeeper Jonas Siegel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 11 minutes into the match, Gabriel Jacobsen notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Detroit AFC's Jonas Siegel. Jonas Siegel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Morgan Wilkerson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Detroit AFC's Rui Marques in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After recieving a nice pass, American Top Team's Enrique Hutchison tried to score from far away in the 26th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With his leg Jonas Siegel managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when American Top Team's Morgan Wilkerson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jarrett Rosenberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui Marques in the 31st minute of the match. The corner led Detroit AFC's Rui Marques to fire away a dangerous shot which Jarrett Rosenberg despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The nice shot from Morgan Wilkerson in the 34thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Jonas Siegel had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Gabriel Jacobsen succeeded in the game's 36th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. Young King hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Morgan Wilkerson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, American Top Team's goalkeeper Jarrett Rosenberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rui Marques. 57 minutes into the game, Morgan Wilkerson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. American Top Team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Detroit AFC the free kick. After a rather tough play, American Top Team's Morgan Wilkerson got a free kick in the 57th minute. Salvador Spicer charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Salvador Spicer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 71st match minute, Detroit AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvador Spicer to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonathan Richards in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonas Siegel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Stevie Peterson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jarrett Rosenberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Stevie Peterson slotted it home off the left post making it 3-2 in the 77th minute. Quincy Nolan kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Jarrett Rosenberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvador Spicer, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Gabriel Jacobsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jarrett Rosenberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rui Marques in the 90th minute. Jonas Siegel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Jacobsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Salvador Spicer got his second yellow card in the match during the 92nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Salvador Spicer hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Gabriel Jacobsen struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Jonas Siegel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for American Top Team. When Jonathan Richards came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the American Top Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathan Richards couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. American Top Team had won after a very even match.
