Tad Duff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ted McCall in the 21st minute of the match. Bryant Mobley hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. When Mervin Ellison came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Elkhorn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mervin Ellison couldn't finish the play. In the 53rd minute of the match, Gavin Joyce tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Johnathan Stubbs saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 59 minutes into the match, Ted McCall had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tad Duff. Elkhorn's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ted McCall was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Johnathan Stubbs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gavin Joyce, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Gavin Joyce managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elkhorn's supporters rose to their feet, but Gavin Joyce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johnathan Stubbs breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 68 minutes into the match, Ted McCall notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Elkhorn's Tad Duff. Tad Duff was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
