In the 9th match minute, Brown Deer AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daryl Fay to maneuver through the defense. Björn Magnusson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Mari Juanes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Basil Rankin got free with Bryant Miles in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 25 minutes into the match, Wander Suzanne notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Brown Deer AFC's Mari Juanes. Mari Juanes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Björn Magnusson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mari Juanes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wander Suzanne, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Mari Juanes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wander Suzanne in the 42nd minute of the match.

The wind increased when Basil Rankin made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Brown Deer AFC booed when Charlotte FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Björn Magnusson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85thth minute of the game Kareem Stoddard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brown Deer AFC's Mari Juanes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 90 minutes of play Charlotte FC's Antoine Hankins was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 91 played minutes Charlotte FC got a freekick which was hit by Antoine Hankins. Bryant Miles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ralf Kadastu, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Charlotte FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
