A collision led to Piarco Falcons getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Ray Flores hit a great ball. 16 minutes into the match, Winston Ramnath had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wintley Simmons. Piarco Falcons's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Winston Ramnath was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Lewis Andrew Cipriani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lewis Andrew Cipriani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. The audience was convinced that Roaring Denoon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robert Baldeosingh was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. La Trinitense Mecánica's Winston Ramnath got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Darren Persaud made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Lewis Andrew Cipriani cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Robert Baldeosingh was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. La Trinitense Mecánica's Robert Baldeosingh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roaring Denoon in the 58th minute of play. When Roaring Denoon came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Piarco Falcons fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roaring Denoon couldn't finish the play.
