Jonathan Tiger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Surujrattan Denoon in the 10th minute of play. Kenwyne Dorman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sundar Beckles in the 12th minute of play. If Delon Assoon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the game, one of Orange Valley Strikers:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The audience thought a goal was coming when Delon Assoon got free with Kenwyne Dorman in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Glenroy Edwards had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Neville Roberts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Jonathan Tiger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sundar Beckles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Carapichaima getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Sundar Beckles hit a great ball. If Glenroy Edwards had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A hard shot 46 in the game by Delon Assoon from a close distance when the talented Kenwyne Dorman managed to make a qualified save. Orange Valley Strikers's players were relieved. Kenwyne Dorman made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Delon Assoon sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Surujrattan Denoon was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Surujrattan Denoon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Orange Valley Strikers's supporters rose to their feet, but Surujrattan Denoon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Tiger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Surujrattan Denoon had several of the Carapichaima's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 54 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Jonathan Tiger as he didn't even see the shot coming. Surujrattan Denoons short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Jonathan Tiger to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Vasant Mc Donald hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Orange Valley Strikers's Kenwyne Dorman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sundar Beckles in the 70th minute of play. In the 72ndth minute of the game Sundar Beckles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Orange Valley Strikers's Kenwyne Dorman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Neville Roberts's late challenge caught a Carapichaima's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Neville Roberts helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Orange Valley Strikers getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Neville Roberts hit a great ball. Neville Roberts got his second yellow card in the match during the 76th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Delon Assoon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carapichaima's supporters rose to their feet, but Delon Assoon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kenwyne Dorman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Carapichaima fans' excitement grew in the 82nd match minute when Carapichaima's Delon Assoon looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 87 played minutes Carapichaima got a freekick which was hit by Basdeo Barriteau. Surujrattan Denoon's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 90thth minute, Jonathan Tiger skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 95th minute Sundar Beckles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenwyne Dorman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
