Orange Valley Fire's Basdeo Mohammed played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Surujrattan Baboolal in the 3rd minute of play. Ronnie Voisin charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ronnie Voisin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Orange Valley Fire booed when Scarborough Town was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronnie Voisin didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Scarborough Town's Surujrattan Baboolal in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Orange Valley Fire's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Surujrattan Baboolal in the 13th minute of play forced Orange Valley Fire's goalkeeper Basdeo Mohammed to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute, Surujrattan Baboolal made a precise shot to the right of Basdeo Mohammed. Orange Valley Fire's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Basdeo Mohammed took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Surujrattan Baboolal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th match minute, Orange Valley Fire was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trevor Assoon to maneuver through the defense. After 25 played minutes Scarborough Town got a freekick which was hit by Subhas Persaud. When Scarborough Town's Surujrattan Baboolal in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Basdeo Mohammed tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sugar Robinson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stephen Thompson in the 39th minute of play. When Lewis Baldeosingh came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Orange Valley Fire fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lewis Baldeosingh couldn't finish the play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Surujrattan Baboolal was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Lewis Baldeosingh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Orange Valley Fire's supporters rose to their feet, but Lewis Baldeosingh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sugar Robinson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Surujrattan Baboolal got free with Basdeo Mohammed in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Scarborough Town's Ronnie Voisin got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Surujrattan Baboolal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Basdeo Mohammed tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Surujrattan Baboolal struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Basdeo Mohammed didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Scarborough Town. 82 minutes into the match, Scarborough Town's goal looked a bit too open when Stephen Thompson came free, but Sugar Robinson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lewis Baldeosingh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Orange Valley Fire booed when Scarborough Town was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Subhas Persaud didn't get a good kick on the ball. During the 89th minute of the match Occah Daaga completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Occah Daaga a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 90th minute, Occah Daaga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Scarborough Town's Ronnie Voisin got a free kick in the 91st minute. When the match was over Scarborough Town could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Orange Valley Fire throughout the match.
