Tomi Dobale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Asseradero FC. When Kaxen Seoane fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Loma's protests and gave Kaxen Seoane a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st match minute, Loma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaxen Seoane to maneuver through the defense. Asseradero FC's Eufrasio Lantadilla got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 28 minutes into the match, Eufrasio Lantadilla notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Loma's Tomi Dobale. Tomi Dobale was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Estibalez in the 45th minute of play forced Asseradero FC's goalkeeper Pagomari Alday to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Alfredo Estibalez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Asseradero FC's Pagomari Alday played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Estibalez in the 53rd minute of play. If Eufrasio Lantadilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 66 played minutes Loma got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Estibalez. Pagomari Alday made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vitorino Barrios in the 68th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Candido Cabañas during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Loma booed when Asseradero FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Candido Cabañas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vitorino Barrios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pagomari Alday having to interfere. Asseradero FC's Pagomari Alday proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Asseradero FC from getting a goal against them.
