Kendal's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Xuan Sibila came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Kendal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xuan Sibila couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Urbano Falguera made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Viviano Fontoria sent off a good shot on target. When Laureano Guedella fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kendal's protests and gave Laureano Guedella a yellow card for diving instead.
