Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) When Ruperto Piña came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Itapiru AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ruperto Piña couldn't finish the play. 8 minutes into the match, Itapiru AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ambrosio Albino came free, but Henrico Fresnedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Itapiru AFC's Ruperto Piña sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benigno Cedofeita narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Joaquim Betolaza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henrico Fresnedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Benigno Cedofeita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruperto Piña in the 20th minute of play. Caraguatay's Joaquim Betolaza got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, Ruperto Piña had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benigno Cedofeita. Caraguatay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ruperto Piña was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Ambrosio Albino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joaquim Betolaza struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Henrico Fresnedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caraguatay. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Ambrosio Albino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caraguatay's supporters rose to their feet, but Ambrosio Albino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henrico Fresnedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ambrosio Albino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrico Fresnedo having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Joaquim Betolaza made a precise shot to the right of Henrico Fresnedo. Itapiru AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ruperto Piña to strike the kick off in the second half. Joaquim Betolaza kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gregory Cullar during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ortle Mayre could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Benigno Cedofeita made a huge save. Gregory Cullar was shown his second yellow card after 60 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a defensive mix-up in Caraguatay's zone, Ortle Mayre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benigno Cedofeita came out of the goal and Ortle Mayre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 68 minutes into the game, Ruperto Piña recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benigno Cedofeita. Ruperto Piña showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Benigno Cedofeita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruperto Piña in the 75th minute of the match. Benigno Cedofeita was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ruperto Piña showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 78 minute of play. Henrico Fresnedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Betolaza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ortle Mayre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Caraguatay getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Ambrosio Albino hit a great ball.
