Atyra's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Atlético Horqueta's Rainerio Recasens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baiona Galdia in the 6th minute of play. Venerando Daque stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iraunkor Aguilera's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Godofredo Campos struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Venerando Daque didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Horqueta. Luzea Armoña recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iraunkor Aguilera to make the kick off. Venerando Daque was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Iraunkor Aguilera showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 60 minute of play. Venerando Daque showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iraunkor Aguilera, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Rainerio Recasens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luzea Armoña in the 76th minute of the match. In the 93rdth minute of the game Iraunkor Aguilera who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atyra's Venerando Daque was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Atlético Horqueta's Iraunkor Aguilera got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 96 minutes, Eriberto Hermida managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Horqueta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eriberto Hermida was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Atlético Horqueta's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
