Clement Marichal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Edgar Arbizu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Cristobal FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Julio Vela hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Clement Marichal in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgar Arbizu saved Cristobal FC from getting behind. Omar Orellana might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jorge Decoux. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Omar Orellana ran back to his position shaking his head. Omar Orellana succeeded in the game's 23rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gustavino Barrientos during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 26 played minutes Guzmán got a freekick which was hit by Gustavino Barrientos. After a defensive mix-up in Guzmán's zone, Arquímedes Molina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Decoux came out of the goal and Arquímedes Molina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Guzmán's Bonifacio Mosquera in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cristobal FC's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eleuterio Rincón during the 39th minute. If Bonifacio Mosquera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Omar Orellana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Decoux having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Clement Marichal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristobal FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Clement Marichal 51 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Bonifacio Mosquera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Arquímedes Molina managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cristobal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Arquímedes Molina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Decoux breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 66 minutes into the match, Guzmán's goal looked a bit too open when Arquímedes Molina came free, but Jorge Decoux reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Omar Orellana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clement Marichal in the 76th minute of play forced Cristobal FC's goalkeeper Edgar Arbizu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guzmán's goalkeeper Jorge Decoux, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arquímedes Molina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the game, Arquímedes Molina cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Jorge Decoux was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eleuterio Rincón kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. When Matty Ibáñez came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Guzmán fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matty Ibáñez couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Omar Orellana's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorge Decoux was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cristobal FC had won after a very even match.
