Chadli Zouba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Souad Guessoum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jussef Ben Hemdani hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. 44 minutes into the match, Lehighton's goalkeeper Rafik Zoheir Apap had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ahmed Zidane. After a defensive mix-up in Lehighton's zone, Mimoun Ouid Messaoud stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafik Zoheir Apap came out of the goal and Mimoun Ouid Messaoud tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Mimoun Ouid Messaoud made the kick off in the second half. Yazid Besseghir might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Chadli Zouba. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yazid Besseghir ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 53rd match minute, South Bend was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jussef Ben Hemdani to maneuver through the defense. Yazid Besseghir's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chadli Zouba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Lehighton's Rafik Zoheir Apap played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmed Zidane in the 63rd minute of play. Ahmed Zidane blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rafik Zoheir Apap having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mimoun Ouid Messaoud in the 68th minute of play forced Lehighton's goalkeeper Rafik Zoheir Apap to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yazid Besseghir's late challenge caught a South Bend's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yazid Besseghir helped the player get up and apologised. In the 80th minute, Noureddine Chaib hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st minute of the match Mahieddine Djamel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Chadli Zouba showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 86 minutes into the match, South Bend's goal looked a bit too open when Yazid Besseghir came free, but Chadli Zouba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Lehighton had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
