Rabah Al-Jazairia succeeded in the game's 23rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Hamid Bouteflika recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abd al-Asis Sellal kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Houari Souakri kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Rabah Al-Jazairia might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jean-Michel Abdenouz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rabah Al-Jazairia ran back to his position shaking his head. When Hamid Meriem came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Boyes Hot Springs FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hamid Meriem couldn't finish the play. Mohammad Ziani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Boyes Hot Springs FC's Rabah Al-Jazairia fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Hamid Meriem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean-Michel Abdenouz having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rabah Al-Jazairia made a kick off. Grand Island AFC's Jean-Michel Abdenouz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rabah Al-Jazairia in the 51st minute of play. Rabah Al-Jazairia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Jean-Michel Abdenouz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Djamel Lacen's late challenge caught a Boyes Hot Springs FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Djamel Lacen helped the player get up and apologised. Djamel Lacen hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Jean-Michel Abdenouz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rabah Al-Jazairia in the 69th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Hamid Meriem ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jean-Michel Abdenouz was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Hamid Bouteflika ran back to his position shaking his head. Grand Island AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
