Said Bougherra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from François Baroudi in the 3rd minute of play. Abdelhamid Reda Madouni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Said Bougherra having to interfere. Mifflinburg AFC's Abderaouf Khalef got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 11th minute, Mahmoud Arrache ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tayeb Aarache was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Said Bougherra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from François Baroudi in the 17th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Mifflinburg AFC's Lakhdar El-Hadi got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 37th minute, Abdelmalek Zerguelaine had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Lakhdar El-Hadi's late challenge caught a Covington's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lakhdar El-Hadi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th minute, Lakhdar El-Hadi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mahmoud Arrache to make the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, François Baroudi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Covington's supporters crossed their fingers, but François Baroudi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 54th minute Mahmoud Arrache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tayeb Aarache saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Abdelhamid Reda Madouni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lakhdar El-Hadi was shown his second yellow card after 62 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 62nd match minute, Mifflinburg AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lakhdar El-Hadi to maneuver through the defense. If Mahmoud Arrache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 69th minute, Walid Madouni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th minute of the match Rafik Macias sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Said Bougherra skillfully saved the ball. If Rabah Bouteflika had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abderaouf Khalef fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tayeb Aarache having to interfere. Mahmoud Arrache recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 80 minutes into the match, Covington's goalkeeper Tayeb Aarache had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abderaouf Khalef. A collision led to Mifflinburg AFC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Djabir Drioueche hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the match, Mifflinburg AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Abdelhamid Reda Madouni came free, but Said Bougherra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. François Baroudi, 87 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Abdelhamid Reda Madouni struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Said Bougherra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Covington. When the match was over Mifflinburg AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Covington throughout the match.
