Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Maamar Zidān made the kick off and thus started the match. Ahmed Boulebda's late challenge caught a Washburn's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ahmed Boulebda helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of Babylon:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Washburn:s goal. In the 5th minute there was a penalty for Washburn. François Teissier stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Zoheir Zaaboub. 1-0. Washburn's Farid Otman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maamar Zidān in the 8th minute of play. When Babylon's Mohamed Ben Ahmed Khadra in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Farid Otman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fawzi Khaldi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Washburn's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Babylon the free kick. In the 47th match minute, Washburn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Khalida Assad to maneuver through the defense. Babylon's Maamar Zidān got a good chance for a goal in the 49th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fawzi Khaldi to strike the kick off in the second half. When Hamza Brahami fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Babylon's protests and gave Hamza Brahami a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th minute, one of Babylon:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Babylon. In the 55th minute there was a penalty for Washburn. When Maamar Zidān came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Babylon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maamar Zidān couldn't finish the play. If Mohamed Ben Ahmed Khadra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 84 minutes into the match, Washburn's goal looked a bit too open when Maamar Zidān came free, but Farid Otman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Washburn's Bouabdellah Banouas got a free kick in the 84th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Maamar Zidān managed to get in a good position for a shot. Babylon's supporters rose to their feet, but Maamar Zidān was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Farid Otman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 98 played minutes Babylon got a freekick which was hit by Abdelhamid Boudiaf. After some fancy dribbling in the 99th minute, François Teissier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Washburn's supporters rose to their feet, but François Teissier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zoheir Zaaboub breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Washburn succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Babylon had controlled the match.
