Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Juninho Peixoto started the match with the kick off. Mohamed Bouguerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yahia Belmadi, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Mohamed Bouguerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohammad Fanon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the match, Mohammad Fanon notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of JAMHURIYA's Mohamed Bouguerra. Mohamed Bouguerra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When JAMHURIYA's Juninho Peixoto in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mount Pleasant's goalie prevented a goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 16th minute of the game. One of Mount Pleasant:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of JAMHURIYA:s goal. After 20 played minutes Mount Pleasant got a freekick which was hit by Yahia Belmadi. In the 22nd minute, Fuat Gök ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kateb Zaaboub was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 26th minute Yahia Belmadi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mohamed Bouguerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Mount Pleasant's zone, Juninho Peixoto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kateb Zaaboub came out of the goal and Juninho Peixoto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mount Pleasant's goalkeeper Kateb Zaaboub, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 31st minute Chaba Bouteflika shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mohamed Bouguerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd match minute, JAMHURIYA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lounès Djebar to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in JAMHURIYA's zone, Mohammad Fanon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mohamed Bouguerra came out of the goal and Mohammad Fanon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. JAMHURIYA's Juninho Peixoto got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mohammad Fanon was the one to do the kick off. JAMHURIYA's attentive Lounès Djebar managed to snatch the ball when Jussef Ben Metref made a throw-in in the 52nd minute of the game. 53 minutes into the match, Mount Pleasant's goal looked a bit too open when Juninho Peixoto came free, but Kateb Zaaboub reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juninho Peixoto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Kateb Zaaboub tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Juninho Peixoto managed to get in a good position for a shot. JAMHURIYA's supporters rose to their feet, but Juninho Peixoto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kateb Zaaboub breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 63 minutes of play, JAMHURIYA's Fuat Gök made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kateb Zaaboub was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Fuat Gök in the 70th minute of play forced Mount Pleasant's goalkeeper Kateb Zaaboub to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Fuat Gök had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute, Juninho Peixoto made a precise shot to the right of Kateb Zaaboub. Mount Pleasant's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. Artemio Nikola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Kateb Zaaboub tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. El Bahari charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed El Bahari the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Mount Pleasant's El Bahari got a free kick in the 93rd minute. JAMHURIYA's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
