Campanario's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ancara AFC the free kick. A collision led to Campanario getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Alvar Vanohier hit a great ball. Severiano Villablanca blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marino Smitmans having to make a save. Ancara AFC's Albano Deppe got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Albano Deppe who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Sisebuto Briceño when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Dionisio Galdos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sisebuto Briceño was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan Pablo Despouy in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sisebuto Briceño prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Inocencio Schneider had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. Campanario's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Oliverio Marquéz ran over to the corner to take the kick. Marino Smitmans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severiano Villablanca in the 36th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Inocencio Schneider managed to get in a good position for a shot. Campanario's supporters rose to their feet, but Inocencio Schneider was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marino Smitmans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The wind increased when Juan Pablo Despouy made the kick off in the second half. Jerardo Bolocco hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match.
