In the 24th minute, one of Quilapalo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Quilapalo. Modestio Rogers charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Modestio Rogers the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ramon María Frias stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristofer Ostolaza couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramon María Frias in the 61st minute of play forced Quilapalo's goalkeeper Lautaro Landa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Ramon María Frias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lautaro Landa was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Velasco Patterson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristofer Ostolaza in the 80th minute of play. The corner led Quilapalo's Gabino Barril to fire away a dangerous shot which Velasco Patterson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Quilapalo's Lautaro Landa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by César Caicedo in the 84th minute of play. Ramon María Frias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Lautaro Landa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enrique Urra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Landa having to interfere. Modestio Rogers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alcantara AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
