Jon-Ander Osorio took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lautaro Landa. Lautaro Landa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 7 minutes into the game, Cirilo Chaparro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guanacarane's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quilapalo the free kick. After a rather tough play, Guanacarane's Cirilo Chaparro got a free kick in the 7th minute. Guanacarane's Mannuel Magasich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristofer Ostolaza in the 15th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Francisco Ignacio Albages was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guanacarane's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quilapalo the free kick. After 16 played minutes Guanacarane got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Ignacio Albages. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jon-Ander Osorio in the 19th minute of play forced Quilapalo's goalkeeper Lautaro Landa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Quilapalo's Lautaro Landa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jon-Ander Osorio in the 25th minute of play. Moisés Oxley's late challenge caught a Guanacarane's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lautaro Landa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Guanacarane supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Guanacarane would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
