In a very dangerous position, a player in Paniahue fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! Nastasio Carreño had in the 32ndth minute some difficulties stopping Patxi Saralegui's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a rather tough play, Paniahue's Angelino Oropesa got a free kick in the 38th minute. An unexpected shot in the 41st minute by Paulo Octavio got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Chorrillo's Danél Izammit got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Danél Izammit to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Romualdo Mosquera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chorrillo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romualdo Mosquera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
