With his leg Roy Valverde managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when Guenac AFC's Arnau Mac Rostie fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 27 minutes into the match, Achacollo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Aburto came free, but Roy Valverde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vicente Andraca in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vicente Salamanca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 30th minute of the match, Humberto Aburto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Roy Valverde saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guenac AFC's goalkeeper Vicente Salamanca, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alcadio Huenul in the 37th minute of play forced Guenac AFC's goalkeeper Vicente Salamanca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Guenac AFC's zone, Vicente Andraca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vicente Salamanca came out of the goal and Vicente Andraca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Achacollo AFC's Alcadio Huenul got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Achacollo AFC's Jonathan Roco got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The wind increased when Alcadio Huenul made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Achacollo AFC defense, Arnau Mac Rostie kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roy Valverde. The Achacollo AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roy Valverde should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Aburto in the 60th minute of play forced Achacollo AFC's goalkeeper Roy Valverde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnau Mac Rostie couldn't finish the play. If Humberto Aburto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
