Tobias Nilsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 12th minute, Uriel Ormaechea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cerro Navia United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Tanilvoro's Diego Elkins got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Jorge Vicente Marzullo came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Tanilvoro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Vicente Marzullo couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Cerro Navia United's zone, Jorge Vicente Marzullo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tobias Nilsson came out of the goal and Jorge Vicente Marzullo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Diego Elkins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Tobias Nilsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ubaldo Matildo Armanet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lázaro Ensslin, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Uriel Ormaechea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ubaldo Matildo Armanet acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 45th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Tamariz Magnani. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Ubaldo Matildo Armanet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Cerro Navia United booed when Tanilvoro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurín Flechart didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Tanilvoro's zone, Lázaro Ensslin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ubaldo Matildo Armanet came out of the goal and Lázaro Ensslin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Tanilvoro's Ysmael Gormaz got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 58th minute of the match Tamariz Magnani sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ubaldo Matildo Armanet skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Lázaro Ensslin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cerro Navia United's supporters rose to their feet, but Lázaro Ensslin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ubaldo Matildo Armanet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Esequiel Rozental fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ubaldo Matildo Armanet having to interfere. Cecilio Gallo kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Uriel Ormaechea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ubaldo Matildo Armanet having to make a save. If Uriel Ormaechea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
