In the 18th match minute, Chingoles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milián Carmona to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Junquillar getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Lucero Angel hit a great ball. 1-1 became the score in the 28th minute when Miguel Hernánde Liendo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Pedro Espinosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Junquillar's Justino Giron slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Erasmo Aburto. That made the score 2-1 after 43 minutes of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miguel Hernánde Liendo made a kick off. After 54 played minutes Chingoles got a freekick which was hit by Milián Carmona. Junquillar's José Javier Catrileo got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pierre Uriarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Erasmo Aburto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erasmo Aburto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierre Uriarte in the 60th minute of play. If Pierre Uriarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pierre Uriarte struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Erasmo Aburto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Junquillar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Hernánde Liendo in the 68th minute of play forced Junquillar's goalkeeper Jonathan Quililongo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Junquillar's zone, Miguel Hernánde Liendo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Quililongo came out of the goal and Miguel Hernánde Liendo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miguel Hernánde Liendo in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Quililongo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Erasmo Aburto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Javier Catrileo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erasmo Aburto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Javier Catrileo went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. If Fortunato Mackenney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Miguel Hernánde Liendo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chingoles's supporters rose to their feet, but Miguel Hernánde Liendo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Quililongo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 92nd minute, Junquillar's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Fortunato Mackenney fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Chingoles's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
