The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Florentino Unzueta during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 10 played minutes Curico-19 got a freekick which was hit by Florentino Unzueta. Baraquiel Ojeda's late challenge caught a Petorca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. After having played for 13 minutes, Giancarlo Zegarra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Petorca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giancarlo Zegarra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Giancarlo Zegarra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Petorca's Pol Martel got control of the ball when Andoni Babarovic tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Mario Alberto Schlegel came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Curico-19 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mario Alberto Schlegel couldn't finish the play. If Xavi Zavaleta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Omar Lyon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Petorca's supporters rose to their feet, but Omar Lyon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leopoldo Jacinto Schorr breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Florentino Unzueta hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Andoni Babarovic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The wind increased when Mario Alberto Schlegel made the kick off in the second half. Xavi Zavaleta took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leopoldo Jacinto Schorr. Leopoldo Jacinto Schorr dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Mario Alberto Schlegel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pol Martel having to interfere. Andoni Babarovic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 64th minute Xavi Zavaleta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Jacinto Schorr saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mario Alberto Schlegel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pol Martel having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andoni Babarovic in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pol Martel saved Petorca from getting behind. Petorca's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
