Lucero Swett's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 10thth minute, Darien Ardura skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 12th minute, Lucero Swett got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 14th minute Ubaldo Matildo Camilo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darien Ardura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Mercurio Didier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zacarías Longa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Saturnín Duguid showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mercurio Didier in the 26th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nestor Llaullau during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Quelentaro getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Nestor Llaullau hit a great ball. Mercurio Didier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Saturnín Duguid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Lucero Swett came up free with the goalie in the 49th minute, the Maravilla FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucero Swett couldn't finish the play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ubaldo Matildo Camilo was the one to do the kick off. If Mercurio Didier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zacarías Longa got free with Saturnín Duguid in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 58 minutes into the match, Maravilla FC's goalkeeper Saturnín Duguid had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zacarías Longa. Maravilla FC's Saturnín Duguid proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Maravilla FC from getting a goal against them. When Maravilla FC's Ubaldo Matildo Camilo in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some careless play in the Quelentaro defense, Ubaldo Matildo Camilo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Darien Ardura. The Quelentaro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Darien Ardura should have stopped the shot. After having played for 76 minutes, Mercurio Didier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quelentaro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mercurio Didier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 79 minutes, Elías Portusagasti mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quelentaro and the Maravilla FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Elías Portusagasti kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Mercurio Didier dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Saturnín Duguid, 2-2. When Regino Chopitea fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maravilla FC's protests and gave Regino Chopitea a yellow card for diving instead. Quelentaro's Mercurio Didier got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Zacarías Longa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
