Baltazar Herreros started the match with the kick off. When Alexis Blest fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grutas AFC's protests and gave Alexis Blest a yellow card for diving instead. Ubaldo Matildo Otaizas short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Viviano Mouat to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Grutas AFC booed when Choyota was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Echedey Ditzel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ubaldo Matildo Otaiza was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 15th minute. Grutas AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 15 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Grutas AFC's Ubaldo Matildo Otaiza fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Viviano Mouat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinicio Rovers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Grutas AFC defense, Jordi Hormazabal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Delfino Droguett. The Grutas AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Delfino Droguett should have stopped the shot. In a very dangerous position, a player in Choyota fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 28th minute. Penalty! Choyota:s Viviano Mouat showed great skill when he stopped Alexis Blest:s penalty. Andreo Kammerer hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Baltazar Herreros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delfino Droguett having to interfere. Ubaldo Matildo Otaiza's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Viviano Mouat skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 44th minute, Ubaldo Matildo Otaiza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alexis Blest fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viviano Mouat having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Vinicio Rovers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 58 minutes into the match, Grutas AFC's goalkeeper Delfino Droguett had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jordi Hormazabal. Echedey Ditzel kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 63 minutes into the game, when Ysidro Peric put in a rough tackle. In the 66th minute there was a penalty for Grutas AFC. Alexis Blest stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Viviano Mouat. 1-1. In the 72ndth minute of the game Ubaldo Matildo Otaiza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Choyota's Viviano Mouat was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ignacio Babarovic hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Viviano Mouat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ubaldo Matildo Otaiza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute, Ubaldo Matildo Otaiza made a precise shot to the right of Viviano Mouat. Choyota's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ubaldo Matildo Otaiza in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Viviano Mouat saved Choyota from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorio Alonso in the 86th minute of play forced Choyota's goalkeeper Viviano Mouat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ubaldo Matildo Otaiza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Viviano Mouat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vinicio Rovers struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Viviano Mouat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grutas AFC. If Ubaldo Matildo Otaiza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Honorio Alonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grutas AFC's Ubaldo Matildo Otaiza got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Grutas AFC had played much better football throughout.
