An unexpectedly hard shot by Madeo Ross in the 13th minute of play forced Teno FC's goalkeeper Cresenciano Isamit to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jose Miguel Pinochet came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Teno FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jose Miguel Pinochet couldn't finish the play. Teno FC's Anastasio Manns pulled a muscle in his leg after 17 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 17 minutes, Germán Aballay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Copatanca AFC and the Teno FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Copatanca AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Amancio Nancupel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cresenciano Isamit breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Madeo Ross was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Orlando Cuminao during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Copatanca AFC to win.
