Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ángel Escalante got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute Ángel Escalante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josías Agudo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romildo Maturana in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angelino Alzerreca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ángel Escalante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Josías Agudo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Diguillin's goal looked a bit too open when Romildo Maturana came free, but Angelino Alzerreca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Hernán Ruiz Tagle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Diguillin's goalkeeper Angelino Alzerreca, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Angelino Alzerreca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hernán Ruiz Tagle's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Hernán Ruiz Tagle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelino Alzerreca having to interfere. Pilmaiquen's Josías Agudo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ángel Escalante in the 45th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Diguillin's Ángel Escalante slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Josías Agudo. That made the score 2-0 after 48 minutes of play.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romildo Maturana to make the kick off. Angelino Alzerreca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hernán Ruiz Tagle in the 55th minute. If Ángel Escalante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hernán Ruiz Tagle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Angelino Alzerreca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peio Corral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Josías Agudo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. After having played for 83 minutes, Romildo Maturana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pilmaiquen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romildo Maturana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hernán Ruiz Tagle succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 86th playminute. In the 90th minute Peio Corral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josías Agudo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pilmaiquen's Josías Agudo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peio Corral in the 91st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Pilmaiquen's Eliseo Durango got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Ángel Escalante scored 3-1 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Josías Agudo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Ángel Escalante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Diguillin fans cheered their team off the field, for while Pilmaiquen had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
