The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leopoldo Hormeño was the one to do the kick off. Danél Alzola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Odol Zamorano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clemente Anfruns's late challenge caught a Chillaiza FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Clemente Anfruns helped the player get up and apologised. Clemente Anfruns hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Varrillar's zone, Leopoldo Hormeño stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danél Alzola came out of the goal and Leopoldo Hormeño tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Varrillar's Asier Azócar got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chillaiza FC's Odol Zamorano got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Chillaiza FC's zone, Virgilio Brieba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabián Lyon came out of the goal and Virgilio Brieba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nauzet Rioseco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Fabián Lyon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabián Lyon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nauzet Rioseco in the 93rd minute. Nauzet Rioseco's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 94thth minute, Fabián Lyon skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal.
