Samuel Paillao showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cirilo Esquivel in the 12th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Andoni Rochefort dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jeremías Mouat, 1-0. In the 18th minute, Cirilo Esquivel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Samuel Paillao was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Jeremías Mouat acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 23rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Adriano Rosa. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Haroldo Novoa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chanchoquin's supporters rose to their feet, but Haroldo Novoa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuel Paillao breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cirilo Esquivel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andoni Rochefort in the 45th minute of play forced Chanchoquin's goalkeeper Jeremías Mouat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Chanchoquin's zone, Virgilio Allison stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeremías Mouat came out of the goal and Virgilio Allison tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Haroldo Novoa made the kick off in the second half. Jose Manuel Mendoza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Horcon FC's Samuel Paillao got control of the ball when Cirilo Esquivel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jeremías Mouat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgilio Allison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th minute of the match Madeo Bayo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Samuel Paillao showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Horcon FC's Rollo Schiller got a free kick in the 68th minute. If Virgilio Allison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Haroldo Novoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Samuel Paillao tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Horcon FC's goalkeeper Samuel Paillao had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cirilo Esquivel. If Cirilo Esquivel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, Andoni Rochefort got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Chanchoquin players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Horcon FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
