In the 2nd minute, Jose Manuel Mendoza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 3rd minute of the match Gerard Perales sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Samuel Paillao skillfully saved the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valentín Paez in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Samuel Paillao prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 21st minute David Israel Achurra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Paillao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Teodor Figueroa fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zapiga AFC's protests and gave Teodor Figueroa a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Zapiga AFC's Teodor Figueroa got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 27 minutes into the game, Horcon FC's Andoni Rochefort nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adam Raffo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Andoni Rochefort blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adam Raffo having to make a save. After 33 minutes, Andoni Rochefort made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Zapiga AFC's Adam Raffo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Lorenzo Esquerra hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Horcon FC were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Zapiga AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ariel Ortega took the corner. Valentín Paez hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 47th match minute, Horcon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bertrán Picado to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when David Israel Achurra made the kick off in the second half. Samuel Paillao showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Israel Achurra, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Horcon FC's goalkeeper Samuel Paillao, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Zapiga AFC's Adam Raffo got control of the ball when Virgilio Allison tried to sneak it across the goal line. Valentín Paez struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Samuel Paillao didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zapiga AFC. In the 71st minute, David Israel Achurra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zapiga AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Adam Raffo made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Virgilio Allison sent off a good shot on target. 82 minutes into the match, Andoni Rochefort dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Adam Raffo, 1-4. A collision led to Zapiga AFC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Lorenzo Esquerra hit a great ball. 90 minutes into the match, Zapiga AFC's goalkeeper Adam Raffo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Virgilio Allison. Andoni Rochefort recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Horcon FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Horcon FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
