In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caliboro FC's goalkeeper Archibaldo Pérez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The goalkeeper, Archibaldo Pérez, was totally fooled by San Luis's Gualberto Polhemus, who 21 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Archibaldo Pérez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salomón Dietsch in the 23rd minute of the match. Caliboro FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Juan Alberto Arens scored to the left of an out of position Archibaldo Pérez, making the score, 2-0. Angelillo Betanzos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quim Mendiola in the 38th minute of play. Adelmo Vela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. In the 45th match minute, San Luis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anacleto Atria to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Adelmo Vela sped through San Luis's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Angelillo Betanzos. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aureliano Báez in the 60th minute of play forced San Luis's goalkeeper Angelillo Betanzos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute, Salomón Dietsch left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The San Luis fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 67th match minute, Caliboro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Telmo Felip to maneuver through the defense. After 67 played minutes, San Luis's Gualberto Polhemus shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Archibaldo Pérez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in San Luis reached it. After a defensive mix-up in San Luis's zone, Adelmo Vela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelillo Betanzos came out of the goal and Adelmo Vela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adelmo Vela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nemesio Maralla hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After 80 minutes San Luis's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Calixto Echazarreta who took care of the corner kick.
