Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Diego Arana started the match with the kick off. Jose Abaitua took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Héctor Verdejo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Héctor Verdejo might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jose Abaitua. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Héctor Verdejo ran back to his position shaking his head. Caihua's Teofilo Toledo got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Diego Arana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teofilo Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Val Turres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Héctor Verdejo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jose Abaitua was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 20 played minutes Caihua got a freekick which was hit by Raymundo Kirck. Tanio Menart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Abaitua having to interfere. Edmundo Sabater hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute of the match Juan Pablo Meza shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jose Abaitua showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Diego Arana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the game, Juan Pablo Meza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Canelo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caihua the free kick. In the 43rd match minute, Canelo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Pablo Meza to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute of the match Aníbal Gaymer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Val Turres showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diego Arana in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Val Turres saved Canelo FC from getting behind. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Héctor Verdejo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Héctor Verdejo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Teofilo Toledo struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Val Turres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caihua. Jose Abaitua took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Héctor Verdejo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jose Abaitua made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tanio Menart in the 67th minute. Diego Arana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diego Arana in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Val Turres prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Val Turres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilo Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Naelio Price during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Caihua getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Naelio Price hit a great ball. Canelo FC's Juan Pablo Meza was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jose Abaitua in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Tanio Menart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Jose Abaitua tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
