A collision led to Higuerita getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Jimeno Carvacho hit a great ball. In the 12th match minute, Macaya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teobaldo Matute to maneuver through the defense. Higuerita's Leovigildo Bühler got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Macaya's zone, Vladimiro Porter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tanio Correa came out of the goal and Vladimiro Porter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute, Vladimiro Porter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tanio Correa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vladimiro Porter in the 28th minute. Leovigildo Bühler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Tanio Correa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leovigildo Bühler in the 36th minute of play forced Macaya's goalkeeper Tanio Correa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teobaldo Matute charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teobaldo Matute the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 37 played minutes Macaya got a freekick which was hit by Teobaldo Matute. Rafael Maria Barticciotto hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute, Vladimiro Porter left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Higuerita fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 45 minutes into the match, Macaya's goalkeeper Tanio Correa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vladimiro Porter. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leovigildo Bühler made a kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Macaya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teobaldo Matute to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimiro Porter in the 55th minute of play forced Macaya's goalkeeper Tanio Correa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafael Maria Barticciotto got free with Jose Manuel Moreau in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Macaya's zone, Vladimiro Porter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tanio Correa came out of the goal and Vladimiro Porter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Alberto Salah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 82 minutes into the match, Macaya's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimiro Porter came free, but Tanio Correa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tanio Correa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladimiro Porter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vladimiro Porter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tanio Correa having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Leovigildo Bühler made a precise shot to the right of Tanio Correa. Macaya's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 91 minutes into the game, Roland Bonilla was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Macaya's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Higuerita the free kick. Vladimiro Porter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Tanio Correa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Higuerita were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Macaya for a fine match.
