Milián Viel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amancio Maggi in the 42nd minute of play. Sisebuto Casos might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Milián Viel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sisebuto Casos ran back to his position shaking his head. Ridwan Ashraff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Larrauna in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
