Weldon Franks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Colby Bermudez having to interfere. Noel Manley took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ollie Marin. Ollie Marin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Ollie Marin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jamie Beverly, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 27th minute, Ryan McCain hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Weldon Franks recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Noel Manley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Noel Manley's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Ollie Marin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 40 minutes into the game, Jamie Beverly recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ollie Marin. Jamie Beverly showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Colby Bermudez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Weldon Franks in the 48th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

A collision led to Sidney getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Jame Jolly hit a great ball. Noel Manley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Ollie Marin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Noel Manley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 68 minutes into the game, Vincent Labrecque was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Canyon AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sidney the free kick. A collision led to Canyon AFC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Vincent Labrecque hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Canyon AFC's goalkeeper Colby Bermudez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sidney's David Skinner got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ollie Marin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jamie Beverly in the 85th minute of play. Noel Manley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ryan McCain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ollie Marin having to interfere. Sidney's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
