With a little luck, Barrhead's Nathaniel Norman got control of the ball when Maynard Boudreaux tried to sneak it across the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Quetico's Maynard Boudreaux sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nathaniel Norman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Irving Woodruff helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th match minute, Barrhead was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Irving Woodruff to maneuver through the defense. Quetico's Cornelius Guy couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 15th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Barrhead. In the 18th minute Reuben Connelly shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nathaniel Norman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Quetico's Maynard Boudreaux sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nathaniel Norman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joesph Bruner in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Columbus Canales saved Quetico from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Joesph Bruner put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Columbus Canales. Leslie Lincoln recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chauncey Gleason hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Maynard Boudreaux managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quetico's supporters rose to their feet, but Maynard Boudreaux was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nathaniel Norman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nathaniel Norman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valère Auclair in the 40th minute of play. Columbus Canales made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leslie Lincoln in the 43rd minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valère Auclair to make the kick off. Nathaniel Norman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maynard Boudreaux in the 52nd minute of the match. Barrhead's Nathaniel Norman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valère Auclair in the 58th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Joesph Bruner's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Columbus Canales was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. In the 85th minute of the match, Leslie Lincoln got a very nice opportunity to score, but Columbus Canales was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Leslie Lincoln was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 88th minute. Barrhead's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 90 played minutes Barrhead's Leslie Lincoln stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Columbus Canales stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Quetico of the goal.
