Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Steele AFC's Angel Worley started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Timothy Gaudreau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bryce Prather having to interfere. Mildmay AFC's Léopold Benoit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angel Worley in the 5th minute of play. Léopold Benoit stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ted Ivy's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Mildmay AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Angel Worley came free, but Léopold Benoit reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ted Ivy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Léopold Benoit having to interfere. In the 14thth minute of the game Angel Worley who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mildmay AFC's Léopold Benoit was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mildmay AFC's Léopold Benoit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angel Worley in the 15th minute of play. Von Tovar hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Mildmay AFC's zone, Ted Ivy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Léopold Benoit came out of the goal and Ted Ivy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ted Ivy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Timothy Gaudreau came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Mildmay AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timothy Gaudreau couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Steele AFC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Myron Moran hit a great ball. Homer Booth struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Bryce Prather didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mildmay AFC. After having played for 36 minutes, Timothy Gaudreau managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mildmay AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Timothy Gaudreau was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee gave Steele AFC a penalty, 41 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rodrick Chase, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Mildmay AFC's Léopold Benoit. 1-1. Léopold Benoit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ted Ivy in the 45th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The wind increased when Homer Booth made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Timothy Gaudreau got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bryce Prather took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timothy Gaudreau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angel Worley struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Léopold Benoit didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Steele AFC. 61 minutes into the match, Steele AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Homer Booth came free, but Bryce Prather reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd match minute, Mildmay AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Von Tovar to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Steele AFC's Rodrick Chase tried to score from far away in the 64th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Ted Ivy in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Léopold Benoit, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Angel Worley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 73 minutes of play, Mildmay AFC's Timothy Gaudreau made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bryce Prather was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Angel Worley in the 76th minute of play forced Mildmay AFC's goalkeeper Léopold Benoit to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Steele AFC's zone, Timothy Gaudreau stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bryce Prather came out of the goal and Timothy Gaudreau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Angel Worley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angel Worley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Léopold Benoit having to interfere. Steele AFC's Angel Worley got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ted Ivy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Mildmay AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Angel Worley came free, but Léopold Benoit reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mildmay AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Steele AFC for a fine match.
