Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) When Comber's Gustavo Morin in 6 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. René Bilodeau guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Gustavo Morin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but René Bilodeau read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Jesse Holland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. René Bilodeau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bruno Tremblay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Preston Summers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. René Bilodeau made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jesse Holland in the 24th minute. Gustavo Morin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without René Bilodeau having to interfere. When Gustavo Morin came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Comber fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustavo Morin couldn't finish the play. Gene Overton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without René Bilodeau having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Leslie Hanks hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 39 minutes Creighton's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bennett Villanueva who took care of the corner kick. Comber's Bennett Villanueva was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but René Bilodeau in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 40th minute Leslie Hanks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Tremblay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Preston Summers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gustavo Morin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without René Bilodeau having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
In the 52nd minute, Kurtis Pierson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bennett Villanueva took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for René Bilodeau. Creighton's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jesse Holland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without René Bilodeau having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, Comber's goal looked a bit too open when Preston Summers came free, but Bruno Tremblay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Comber's Bruno Tremblay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Preston Summers in the 72nd minute of play. The supporters of Comber booed when Creighton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darron Pruitt didn't get a good kick on the ball. René Bilodeau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesse Holland in the 78th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Creighton's zone, Gustavo Morin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. René Bilodeau came out of the goal and Gustavo Morin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gustavo Morin in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck René Bilodeau prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 86 minutes, Richard Flowers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Comber and the Creighton players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Comber getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Richard Flowers hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Preston Summers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bruno Tremblay was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. 90 minutes into the game, Gustavo Morin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. René Bilodeau was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Valentin Sutherland came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Creighton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentin Sutherland couldn't finish the play.
