A collision led to Québec FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Harris Preston hit a great ball. Austin Dennis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Omar Timmons, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the game, Lowell Sanchez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Harris Preston recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 25th minute, Omar Timmons hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th minute, Sébastien Dennis made a precise shot to the right of Hippolyte Hyde. Derval FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Gustave Hughes charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gustave Hughes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gustave Hughes hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Québec FC's zone, Rich L'Anglais stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Austin Dennis came out of the goal and Rich L'Anglais tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

After having played for 51 minutes, Gustave Hughes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Québec FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustave Hughes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Sébastien Dennis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Québec FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sébastien Dennis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hippolyte Hyde breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Austin Dennis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rich L'Anglais, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. If Sébastien Dennis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hippolyte Hyde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sébastien Dennis in the 59th minute of play. Québec FC's Sébastien Dennis got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Harris Preston came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Québec FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harris Preston couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Québec FC's Austin Dennis got control of the ball when Omar Timmons tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Gustave Hughes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hippolyte Hyde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sébastien Dennis, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After 73 played minutes Derval FC got a freekick which was hit by Margarito Valle. Hippolyte Hyde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harris Preston in the 76th minute of the match. Sébastien Dennis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hippolyte Hyde having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Harris Preston got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Margarito Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Hippolyte Hyde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harris Preston, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Québec FC's Sébastien Dennis in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Derval FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 94th minute Sébastien Dennis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hippolyte Hyde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that Québec FC were the better team. Québec FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
