Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Kermit Lyons took the kick off in the first half of the match. Alfonzo Patel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kermit Lyons, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After having played for 6 minutes, Jay Lord managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carmi AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jay Lord was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fermin Benoit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jay Lord recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Jay Lord had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Prince Faure fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carmi AFC's protests and gave Prince Faure a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sturgis FC booed when Carmi AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prince Faure didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jay Lord had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fermin Benoit received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Sylvain Glover tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfonzo Patel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albert Lamb in the 38th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Micheal Koch got free with Alfonzo Patel in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sturgis FC's Kermit Lyons got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Fermin Benoit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jay Lord to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jay Lord in the 52nd minute of play forced Sturgis FC's goalkeeper Sylvain Glover to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Micheal Koch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Carmi AFC defense, Kermit Lyons kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfonzo Patel. The Carmi AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfonzo Patel should have stopped the shot. After having played for 60 minutes, Kermit Lyons managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sturgis FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kermit Lyons was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Carmi AFC's Patrice Lebrun got a free kick in the 71st minute. Jay Lord fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sylvain Glover having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kermit Lyons in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfonzo Patel saved Carmi AFC from getting behind. Fermin Benoit had several of the Sturgis FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 79 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Sylvain Glover as he didn't even see the shot coming. Carmi AFC's Alfonzo Patel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kermit Lyons in the 83rd minute of play. If Fermin Benoit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kermit Lyons took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfonzo Patel. Alfonzo Patel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. If Micheal Koch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Sturgis FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
