Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Avery Vincent got the match started through his kick off. After 7 played minutes fc catalunya got a freekick which was hit by Lynn Burroughs. If Avery Vincent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Whaletown's Brant Bacon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Whaletown from getting a goal against them. With his leg Brant Bacon managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when fc catalunya's Rodrick Burris fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. fc catalunya's Micheal Manning played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dylan Bureau in the 29th minute of play. Micheal Manning showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dylan Bureau, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 33rd minute, one of fc catalunya:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for fc catalunya. 35 minutes into the match, Guy Locke notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of fc catalunya's Micheal Manning. Micheal Manning was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 41st minute of the match Lou Quenneville shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Micheal Manning showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 42 minutes into the match, fc catalunya's goal looked a bit too open when Isaiah Tharp came free, but Micheal Manning reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dylan Bureau might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Micheal Manning. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dylan Bureau ran back to his position shaking his head.

Isaiah Tharp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Micheal Manning tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodrick Burris recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to fc catalunya getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Valère Coates hit a great ball. In the 61st minute, Dylan Bureau got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Avery Vincent fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brant Bacon having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rodrick Burris in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brant Bacon saved Whaletown from getting behind. fc catalunya's Avery Vincent got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Micheal Manning showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaiah Tharp in the 69th minute of the match. Micheal Manning took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaiah Tharp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rodrick Burris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute, Avery Vincent ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Brant Bacon was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The supporters of Whaletown booed when fc catalunya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Marier didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the match, fc catalunya's goalkeeper Micheal Manning had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dylan Bureau. In the 89th match minute, fc catalunya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Marier to maneuver through the defense. When Isaiah Tharp came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Whaletown fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isaiah Tharp couldn't finish the play. 92 minutes into the match, fc catalunya's goal looked a bit too open when Isaiah Tharp came free, but Micheal Manning reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dylan Bureau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Micheal Manning having to interfere.
